Schoolies Festival set to Celebrate 25 Years
Encounter Youth will celebrate its 25th year of Schoolies Festival™ in November this year.
For 25 years, Encounter Youth has led the way in Australia by pioneering the best management of a schoolies gathering in the country in both safety and coordination.
To mark this milestone, Schoolies Festival™ 2023 will be a special carnival celebration unlike any other year!
Nigel Knowles, CEO of Encounter Youth, can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with the Class of 2023.
“We are creating a carnival atmosphere to celebrate 25 years of leading the best schoolies celebration in Australia.”
The Class of 2023 will enjoy carnival attractions not seen before at Schoolies Festival™, including two huge rides, sideshow games and activities along with classic carnival treats like popcorn and fairy floss.
These will all be included in the Schoolies Festival™ ticket, with additional food truck refreshments also available for purchase throughout the festival,” Mr Knowles said.
Tickets go on sale today with a limited number of accommodation packages still available via the Encounter Youth website.
The Class of 2023 is encouraged to also book their seat on the Free Schoolies Festival™ Bus Service, sponsored by the Government of South Australia, THINK! Road Safety Partnerships Program. The bus service gets the Class of 2023 to the Schoolies Festival™ in Victor Harbor and returns them to Adelaide afterwards.
Glenunga International High School Student LIFE Director, Sam Chan believes that students work hard at their study and it’s great for them to celebrate this significant closing of a chapter at the end of twelve or thirteen years of schooling.
“The South Australian Year 12s are very fortunate to have the Encounter Youth’s Schoolies Festival™. They provide a well-supported, safe space to celebrate the finishing of their schooling.
“As someone who has been in youth work for over 20 years, it is great to see firsthand how well Encounter Youth and their Green Team volunteers support young people and have been supporting them for 25 years,” Mr Chan said.
Schoolies Festival™ 2023 will be held over three nights from Friday, 17th November to Sunday, 19th November 2023 in Warland Reserve, Victor Harbor.
