The Countdown Is On For Schoolies Festival™ 2022

Encounter Youth has a proud 23-year history of serving the South Australian community and Year 12s during their end-of-year celebrations through the management of the official Schoolies Festival™ gathering on Warland Reserve in Victor Harbor.

Encounter Youth Chief Executive Officer, Nigel Knowles, said it had been challenging over the past two years to navigate the complexity that COVID-19 brought to the planning and delivering of Schoolies Festival™.

“We are so proud of the Class of 2022 for the incredible resilience they have displayed over two years of significant disruption and uncertainty,” Mr Knowles said.

Mr Knowles was pleased to announce that standalone tickets for Schoolies Festival™ 2022 will go on sale today at 11:00am.

“Our staff team and volunteers are planning an exciting celebration for the Class of 2022, and we are thrilled to support them to safely enjoy a well-earned celebration with their friends to mark this milestone.”

In line with the ending of the Major Emergency Declaration and the ceasing of the COVID Management Plan requirement announced last week by the State Government, Encounter Youth has updated its Schoolies Festival™ Terms and Conditions, effective immediately.

“Schoolies Festival™ will be back at full capacity and patrons will no longer be required to provide proof of ‘up-to-date’ COVID-19 vaccination.

Encounter Youth remains committed to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for the Class of 2022,” Mr Knowles said.

To the Class of 2022, Mr Knowles said: “It’s not too early to consider your transport options for the weekend. Getting to and from Victor Harbor safely is a priority. When you book your ticket, you’ll also be able to book a seat on the free Schoolies Festival™ Bus Service, supported by THINK! Road Safety, from Adelaide to Victor Harbor.”

There are a limited number of Schoolies Festival™ Accommodation and Ticket Packages still available with Encounter Youth partner accommodation providers.
